Let's pretend for a little bit...

It's move-in day, and you're sitting in your dorm room. Your parents have just kissed you good-bye and left, and all around you are boxes of stuff you'll never need but your mom made you bring any way "just in case."

Overwhelmed might be a good word to describe you at this point. Suddenly, there is a knock at the door. On the other side is someone who is smiling as if they know you, but this is the first time you've ever met them in your life. They put a flyer in your hand and say "Hi! Would you like to come to a barbecue with me?" This is how many people get involved in Chi Alpha. There is no induction ceremony or weird ritual to go through. Chi Alpha is more than a youth group. It is a community of believers with a network as big as a college campus.

On any given night you will find small groups of students meeting together in dorm rooms, praying for one another, studying the Bible, and enjoying every minute of it. Later in the week all of these students will join together to celebrate and worship God for the wonderful things that are happening in their groups. As the semester progresses, the power of God draws more and more people to these small groups as students share their testimony with others at book tables, in classes, in the washateria, or at the bus stop.

Sound like the perfect way to reach a university for Jesus Christ? It is. There's only one thing missing.

You.
